The ABCs of CBD
Do you know where your CBD is grown and processed? There are a lot of options out there and this article from Forbes provides some good information on how to navigate the choices.
We were especially interested in two of the points addressed:
- Review the documentation. Products from reputable CBD producers will have a Certificate of Analysis (COA) that tells you specific things about what you’re taking. These generally include “potency, microbial analysis, solvents, and any testing done for heavy metals and pesticides.” If the COA doesn’t make sense is incomplete, go with a different option. You can find COAs on the products we sell by clicking on any product in the catalog. Here’s an example of what is available on products from Rush Hemp Farms: https://redwhiteandhemp.com/lab-reports-rush-hemp-farms/
- Beware of international imposters. There is a lot of investment in CBD farming and manufacturing happening in China and other markets. The lack of regulation combined with questionable farming practices make products from outside the US suspect. Stick with US hemp CBD products and especially those grown and produced in Tennessee.
